Scott Gaille

Scott Gaille currently serves as a Lecturer in Law at The University of Chicago, teaching courses focused on energy law and transactions since September 2013. Additionally, Gaille is the Managing Partner at GAILLE PLLC, providing legal counsel in global energy projects. From 2007 to 2022, Gaille was an Adjunct Professor of Management at Rice University, instructing MBA students on energy infrastructure and development. Previous roles include Chief Compliance Officer, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary at ZaZa Energy Corporation, and Co-Founder and General Counsel at Sequent Asset Management, LLC. Gaille has also held positions in business development and legal management at Oxy, and worked as an associate at Vinson and Elkins, specializing in energy law. A graduate of the University of Chicago Law School with High Honors, Gaille also holds a Bachelor of Arts with High Honors in Government and a minor in Philosophy from The University of Texas at Austin.
