Seth B. Darling

Seth Darling is a seasoned leader in the field of energy technologies and molecular engineering, currently serving as Chief Science & Technology Officer at Argonne National Laboratory since 2002. With extensive experience, Seth has held various significant roles, including Director of the Advanced Materials for Energy-Water Systems Center and Interim Associate Laboratory Director for Advanced Energy Technologies. Research expertise focuses on membranes, sorbents, and water treatment, with contributions recognized by major media outlets. Additionally, Seth is a Senior Scientist at the University of Chicago and has co-founded Visual Molecules LLC. Seth earned a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the University of Chicago and a B.A. in Chemistry and Astronomy from Haverford College.
