Crystal Weitz has over 15 years of experience in service and community engagement roles. Crystal started their career as an AmeriCorps VISTA for Ohio Campus Compact at The University of Findlay in 2004, where they focused on bolstering service projects and local community engagement. Crystal then moved on to become the Coordinator of the Campus Compact Center for Service and Learning at The University of Findlay in 2006. In this role, they were responsible for growing volunteer initiatives on campus as the first full-time staff member dedicated to this work. Due to their demonstrated success, Crystal was promoted to Director of Service and Community Engagement in 2014. In this position, they collaborated with international programming and diversity & inclusion offices to provide more holistic experiences focused on social justice and global engagement for both students and the community.
Crystal Weitz earned a Certificate in Nonprofit Executive Leadership from The School of Public and Environmental Affairs and The Fund Raising School at the Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University in 2011. Crystal completed their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) with a concentration in Organizational Leadership at The University of Findlay from 2007 to 2010. Crystal received their Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus on International Business and Economics, and a Bachelor of Arts in Music and French, both from Ohio Northern University, from 1999 to 2003.
