Sophie Craven

Sophie Craven is the Schools & Colleges Liaison Officer at The University of Huddersfield. Sophie has over fifteen years of experience working in education, both as a teacher and in educational administration. Sophie has a passion for helping others learn and has written several books on gifted and talented students as well as on professional development for educators. In their current role, Sophie works with schools and colleges to develop partnerships and create opportunities for students to access higher education.

Sophie Craven has a postgraduate certificate in technology enhanced learning from The University of Huddersfield. Sophie also has a Master of Arts in history from The University of Huddersfield. In addition, they have a PGCE in history and special educational needs from the University of Leeds. Finally, they have a Bachelor of Arts in history from Lancaster University.

Sophie Craven works with Hannah Alipoor - Schools & Colleges Liaison Officer, North East & Humber, Jo Ricketts - Schools & Colleges Liaison Assistant, and Ruth Cohen - Schools & Colleges Liaison Officer. Their manager is Amanda Kenningley, Deputy Head, Schools & Colleges Liaison Service.
