Angel Varela

Angel Varela is an experienced IT professional with a robust background in business application management and technical support. Currently serving as a Business Application Manager at The University of Kansas Health System since August 2021, Angel previously held various leadership roles at UMB Bank from 2005 to 2021, including Network Operations Center Manager, where responsibilities included the management of an outsourced Service Desk, and Desktop Services Manager, overseeing a multi-million dollar technology budget. Angel's experience extends to effectively managing IT infrastructure for new and closing branches and providing technical support for trading systems at UMB Scout Brokerage Service Inc. Prior to these roles, Angel worked as a contractor at Tek Systems and served in the United States Marine Corps as a Small Computer Systems Specialist. Education was completed at Park University between 1994 and 1996.
