American Indian Liaison To The Chancellor & Director Of The American Indian Heritage Center at The University of North Carolina at Pembroke

Ashley McMillan, Ph.D. serves as the Director of Operations for Native Services at Boys & Girls Clubs of America since July 2024 and also holds the position of American Indian Liaison to the Chancellor and Director of the American Indian Heritage Center at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke since November 2019. In this role, Ashley McMillan collaborates with various partners to enhance outreach, retention, and graduation rates for American Indian students while advocating for American Indian faculty and staff. Previous experience includes roles as a Research Associate at North Carolina State University, Graduate Assistant at Duke University, and Assistant Director of Recruitment, Admissions & Financial Aid at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Ashley McMillan holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Leadership and Administration from North Carolina State University, a Master of Social Work from Boston College, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
