Maria Santisteban is a distinguished academic with extensive experience in biology education and research. Currently serving as a Professor at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke since August 2007, Maria teaches courses in Microbiology, Cell Biology, Introductory Biology, Molecular Biology, and Genomics, while also mentoring students in research projects focused on Yeast Molecular Genetics.
