Ali Laherty

Ali Laherty is an experienced academic and software engineering professional with a robust background in computer science from The University of Queensland. Currently serving as an Academic Demonstrator, Ali teaches various programming courses, including introductory and advanced software engineering, computer systems, and microcontroller programming. Ali has also held roles as a Backend Software Engineering Intern at Canva, where a significant enhancement in media import processing was achieved, and worked as an Undergraduate Insights Analyst at NTI. Additional leadership experience includes serving as a Corporate Executive & Industry Associate for UQ Ladies in Technology and managing operations as a Shift Manager & Barista at Merlo Coffee. Teaching experience as a Teaching Assistant at Code Camp further complements Ali's strong educational foundation, acquired through studies at The University of Queensland between 2021 and 2023.
