David Forrester

David Forrester is an experienced professional in software engineering and management, currently serving as the Director of Software Engineering at Siemens Digital Industries Software since December 2018, overseeing the Sheffield site and contributing to the Siemens NX team's growth. Forrester is also a Board Member of Sheffield Digital Limited and an Industry Advisory Board member at The University of Sheffield, providing valuable insights from an employer's perspective. Previously, Forrester was the CEO and Managing Director of Lightwork Design, a leader in 3D rendering solutions, and the Owner of VSI Limited, which managed the buy-out of Lightwork and MachineWorks. Early career experience includes roles as a Management Accountant at Wace Screen Printing and as an Accountant Trainee at Kodak Limited.
