Dr. Graeme Heron, PhD FCILT, is currently the Co-Interim Director of Service for Executive and Professional Education at The University of Sheffield and serves as a Programme Director & Senior University Teacher in Operations Management & Decision Sciences. With extensive experience in academia, Dr. Heron has held various roles in higher education, including Programme Director at Newcastle University and Senior Lecturer at Northumbria University, while also directing Cyrenians Fareshare North East. Research interests include economic distortion, urban freight movement, and the application of the Theory of Constraints to operational efficiency and supply chain management. Dr. Heron earned a PhD focused on food supply chain localization from Northumbria University and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics & Transport. Prior experience includes roles in supply chain and operations management at Arla Foods, Merck, and CCL Pharmaceuticals, and an apprenticeship at Royal Ordnance.
