Helen Thorpe

Helen Thorpe serves as the Learning and Teaching Manager at The University of Sheffield's Department of Electronic & Electrical Engineering since October 2019, focusing on enhancing academic and pastoral student engagement alongside student admissions. Previously, Helen held roles at the University of Sheffield, including Regional Partnerships Development Officer in the Partnerships & Regional Engagement Team and Student Placement Coordinator in the Careers Service. Prior experience also includes Employability Officer at the University of Leeds and Head of Student Services at Sheffield International College. Helen's extensive career in education features a strong emphasis on developing employer partnerships, coordinating work experience opportunities, and improving employability strategies for students.
