Ofelia Meza-Escobar is a University Teaching Associate in Anatomy and Physiology at The University of Sheffield, with a diverse background in physical anthropology and archaeology. Current roles include an Active Team Member at Kenyon International Emergency Services and a former Anatomy Demonstrator at the University of Birmingham. Ofelia served as a Doctoral Researcher at The University of Sheffield, where the doctoral thesis focused on the lifeways and frailty experiences of the 19th and 20th-century population of Santiago de Chile. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Archaeology and Prehistory from The University of Sheffield, an MSc in Anatomy and Advanced Forensic Anthropology from the University of Dundee, and a Bachelor's degree in Physical Anthropology from Universidad de Chile. Ofelia has also co-founded the Bioarchaeology of Urbanization Research Group and has extensive experience in teaching and conducting archaeological surveys.
