Ruth Hambleton

Ruth Hambleton currently serves as the Head of KE Funding, Data & Continuous Improvement at The University of Sheffield, a position held since February 2010, with roles including Interim Head of KE Funding and Partnerships Manager since September 2015. Some responsibilities include managing a team focused on strategic research partnerships and providing operational support for impact and knowledge exchange initiatives. Previous experience includes serving as a Project Manager for steeluniversity.org at the World Steel Association, and holding several technical and managerial roles at Outokumpu and Avesta, where responsibilities encompassed product development, technical management, and quality assurance. Ruth holds a PhD in Engineering Materials from The University of Sheffield and a Diploma in Management Studies from Nottingham Business School, alongside a MA in Metallurgy and the Science of Materials from the University of Oxford.
