Stephen MacDonald

Stephen Macdonald serves as a Lecturer at the University of Stirling since December 2017, leading modules in Coaching Concepts and Coaching as Learning within the MSc in Performance Coaching programme. Additionally, Stephen holds positions as a UK Sport Endorsed Mentor and Mentor at sportscotland, both starting in October 2017 and February 2016 respectively. Stephen is the Director of Beyond Adventure since November 1998 and previously worked as the Talent Pathway Manager & Coach for Canoe Slalom at Breadalbane Canoe Club from September 2014 to October 2018, as well as a Development Coach for Canoe Slalom at the Scottish Canoe Association from April 2008 to August 2013. Stephen's background in coaching development dates back to a role with the British Canoe Union from 2005 to 2012. Stephen's educational background includes attendance at Hillpark Secondary in Glasgow from 1979 to 1985.
