Katie Owens

Katie Owens currently serves as a Wolf Trap teaching artist at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, where arts integrated instruction focuses on literacy and social-emotional learning for Pre-K to 1st grade students. Prior experience includes fostering donor relationships as a Friends of the Tivoli Usher with the Tivoli Theatre Foundation, maintaining plant health and assisting clients at SIGNAL MOUNTAIN NURSERY, LLC, and managing operations and staff at Evo Craft Bakery, where responsibilities spanned bakery management and farmers market coordination. Katie also held editorial roles at Arcadia Publishing, evaluating and managing local history titles, and engaged in various positions including baker and chef at New Moon Cafe, easement intern with the Central Savannah River Land Trust, and historic preservation roles with FEMA and the University of Georgia. Educational credentials include a Master of Historic Preservation from The University of Georgia.
