Rebecca Shortridge

Rebecca Shortridge serves as the Rollins Chair of Accounting and Department Head at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga since July 2021. Previously, Shortridge held the position of Department Chair and Professor of Accountancy at Northern Illinois University from August 2005 to June 2021. Prior to that, Shortridge was an Assistant Professor of Accounting at Ball State University - Miller College of Business from August 2000 to July 2005. Educational accomplishments include a BS and MBA in Accounting from Indiana University - Kelley School of Business and a Ph.D. in Accounting from Michigan State University's Eli Broad College of Business.
