Dr. Amol Patil

Dr. Amol Patil is a postdoctoral researcher at The University of Tennessee Health Science Center since July 2023, following a multifaceted career at CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology from April 2017 to June 2023, where roles included Postdoctoral Research Fellow, Senior Project Associate, and Project Associate II. Dr. Patil has significantly contributed to the development of novel synthetic pathways for bioactive molecules, including work on Agonist molecules used in coronavirus vaccines and the synthesis of antiviral agents during the COVID-19 pandemic. Prior experience includes serving as Assistant Manager in API R&D at Cipla, focusing on route scouting, process feasibility studies, and optimization. Dr. Patil holds a PhD in Synthetic Organic Chemistry from CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, an MSc in Organic Chemistry from Savitribai Phule Pune University, and a BSc in Chemistry with mathematics from Shivaji University, Kolhapur.
