Janay Jeans, M.A., currently serves as a Strategic Communications Specialist at The University of Tennessee Health Science Center since July 2022. Prior to this role, Janay worked as a Graduate Assistant at The University of Memphis from January 2021 to April 2022 and was a Student Office Assistant at the Center for Innovative Teaching & Learning at The University of Memphis from August 2017 to December 2019. Earlier experience includes a Legal Intern position with Shelby County Government and a Financial Aid Student Assistant role at Southwest Tennessee Community College. Janay holds a Master of Arts in Journalism and Strategic Media from The University of Memphis and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a Public Administration minor, also from The University of Memphis. Educational background includes attendance at Southwest Tennessee Community College and graduation from Houston High School with a High School Diploma.
