Garrett Rose

Garrett Rose currently serves as the EECS Associate Department Head and Professor at the University of Tennessee, a position held since August 2014. Prior to this, Garrett held roles as Senior Electronics Engineer at the Air Force Research Laboratory from June 2011 to July 2014, focusing on nanoelectronics, neuromorphic computing, and hardware security. Garrett began academic career as an Assistant Professor at the Polytechnic Institute of New York University from August 2006 to May 2011, teaching VLSI circuit design and embedded systems while conducting research in related fields. Early career experiences include an Engineering Intern position at MITRE, conducting nanoelectronics research, and an Engineering Intern role at CPFilms. Educational credentials include a PhD and MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Virginia, and a BS in Computer Engineering from Virginia Tech.
