Geri Mulligan is an accomplished professional with extensive leadership experience in literacy and education. Currently serving as the Director of the Center for Literacy, Education & Employment at the University of Tennessee since July 2008, Geri also directs the Center for Literacy Studies at the same institution, a position held since 1998. Prior experience includes directing the New Community Hispanic Development Corporation, an organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of the Hispanic community in Newark, NJ, from August 1998 to July 2008. Geri's educational background includes a Master of Theological Studies from Maryknoll School of Theology, a Bachelor of Science in Education from St. John's College in Cleveland, OH, and a Master's degree in Art from Wesleyan University.
