Megan Talley

Megan Talley's work experience includes serving as a Senior Director of Investment Accounting at the University of Tennessee since June 2021. Prior to this, they worked as an Assistant Controller for Tax Compliance at the University from December 2019 to May 2021. From December 2013 to December 2019, Megan held the position of Tax Officer at the University, where they provided leadership and guidance on tax matters, conducted tax research, and ensured compliance with tax laws. Before joining the University of Tennessee, Megan worked as a Senior Associate at Burkhart & Company, P.C. from September 2009 to November 2013. Megan also served as an Accounts Payable Clerk at 21st Mortgage from December 2005 to August 2008, and gained initial experience as a Receptionist/Audit Intern at Mitchell Emert & Hill, P.C. from May 2004 to August 2005.

Megan Talley completed their education at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Megan earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Accounting in the years 2004-2008. Later, they pursued their Master of Accountancy degree with a specialization in Taxation from the same university during 2008-2009. In addition to their academic qualifications, Megan obtained the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification from the State of Tennessee in 2010 and the 2022 NACUBO Tax Council certification from NACUBO in 2022.
