Melanie Young

Melanie Young is an experienced Career Counselor at the University of Tennessee at Martin, serving since January 2004. In the current role within the Office of Career Planning and Development, Melanie provides individualized career counseling and professional development support, creates and presents workshops on various career-related topics, and collaborates with faculty to enhance student services. Prior to this, Melanie held multiple roles at Vernon College and has a strong background in academic advising, counseling, grant writing, and leadership in educational programs. With a comprehensive education in strategic communication, English, educational psychology, and special education, Melanie has a robust foundation to support student success and career readiness.
