Vice Provost For Student Success at The University of Tennessee Southern

Matthew Little, Ed.D., is currently serving as the Student Success Coordinator at The University of Tennessee Southern, where responsibilities include overseeing retention efforts and developing student success initiatives. With extensive experience in higher education, Matthew has held various roles, including Reviewer for the Journal of College Student Retention, Guest Lecturer at institutions in Japan, and Academic Program Specialist for First-Year Experience at Kennesaw State University. Previous positions include Assistant Vice President of Enrollment Management at Gordon State College and Interim Director of the University Success Center at the University of North Alabama, where Matthew led multiple student support services. Matthew holds an Ed.D. in Higher Education Administration from The University of Alabama, and has actively contributed to numerous initiatives aimed at enhancing student engagement and success in academic settings.

The University of Tennessee Southern is a four-year public institution, and part of the University of Tennessee System. Formerly Martin Methodist College, originally founded in 1870, UT Southern (established in 2021) sits on a historic campus located in Pulaski, TN, in the beautiful hills of southern Middle Tennessee.
