Jason Abrevaya

Jason Abrevaya serves as the Associate Dean for Graduate Education in the College of Liberal Arts and as a Professor in the Department of Economics at The University of Texas at Austin since 2007. Abrevaya has held various leadership roles within the department, including Associate Chair and Chair. In addition to academic roles, Abrevaya contributes as an Advisory Board Member at Lenox Park Solutions since February 2023. Prior experience includes serving as an Associate Professor of Economics at Purdue University from 2002 to 2007 and holding the position of Assistant/Associate Professor of Econometrics at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business from 1996 to 2002. Abrevaya earned a Ph.D. in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an A.B. in Applied Mathematics from Harvard University.
