Keiko Torii currently serves as a Professor and holds the Johnson & Johnson Centennial Chair in Plant Cell Biology at The University of Texas at Austin since September 2019. Additionally, Keiko Torii is an Investigator at the Howard Hughes Medical Institute since 2011 and is the Oversea Principal Investigator and Professor at Nagoya University's Institute of Transformative Biomolecules (ITbM) since 2013. From 1999 to 2019, Keiko Torii had a distinguished career at the University of Washington, advancing through various academic ranks to become a Distinguished Professor of Biology. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Biophysics from the University of Tsukuba, along with multiple postdoctoral positions at prominent institutions, including Yale University and the University of Michigan.
