Matt Bishop

Matt Bishop is an experienced culinary and operations professional currently serving as the Associate Director of Resident Dining at The University of Texas at Austin since September 2023. Previously, from March 2019 to July 2023, Matt held the position of Chef / Operations Manager at Meta, overseeing operations for multiple cafés in Chicago and Austin. Matt's extensive career includes roles such as Chef De Cuisine at Flagship Facility Services, Food Service Director at ARAMARK, and Executive Chef in various capacities, where responsibilities ranged from budget management and menu development to staff training and operational excellence. Matt's culinary expertise began with an education in Food Service Management and Culinary Arts at Johnson & Wales University.
