Rebecca Gomez

Rebecca Gomez, PhD, currently serves as the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Associate Professor at The University of Texas at Austin, a position held since August 2023. With extensive experience in academia and consultancy, Rebecca is also the Principal at RJ Gomez & Associates, since January 2015, providing training and consultation across various industries such as legal and medical. Previously, Rebecca held several roles at Virginia Commonwealth University, including Interim Dean and Associate Dean for Academic and Student Affairs. Additional experience includes positions at Our Lady of the Lake University and the Child and Family Research Institute, focusing on social work education and research. With a PhD in Social Work from The University of Texas at Austin, along with a Master of Social Work and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Texas State University, Rebecca specializes in complex trauma, family dynamics, and addiction.
