Sandy Barker

Sandy Barker is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in aerospace engineering, education, and diversity and inclusion initiatives. Currently serving as the Director of Texas Rocket Engineering Lab and the Director of Diversity & Inclusion at The University of Texas at Austin, Sandy has previously held roles such as Associate Professor of Practice, Sr. Process Improvement Specialist, and Training Manager across various organizations, including LCRA and Firefly Aerospace. With a strong background in training development, compliance management, and instructional design, Sandy has contributed significantly to establishing corporate training programs, improving organizational processes, and fostering a culture of initiative and transparency. Sandy holds a Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical/Space Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin.
