Benjamin Carrion Schafer

Benjamin Carrion Schafer is an accomplished academic and professional in the field of electrical and computer engineering, currently serving as Assistant Dean for Graduate Student Success and Associate Professor at the University of Texas at Dallas since September 2016. Prior experience includes an Assistant Professor role at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and an Assistant Manager position at NEC, where Benjamin led various high-level synthesis research and development projects with multicultural teams across multiple countries. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Microelectronics from the University of Birmingham, an MBA from McGill University, and degrees in Microelectronics and Electronic Engineering from Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences and Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, respectively.
