Lloyd Lumata

Associate Professor at The University of Texas at Dallas

Lloyd Lumata is an accomplished academic with extensive experience in the field of biomedical physics. Currently serving as an Associate Professor at The University of Texas at Dallas since June 2014, Lloyd previously held the position of Assistant Professor in Biomedical Physics at UT Southwestern from April 2009 to May 2014. Lloyd's postdoctoral training focused on advancing NMR techniques, specifically dynamic nuclear polarization (DNP), for enhanced magnetic resonance spectroscopy and imaging. Prior to this, Lloyd completed a Ph.D. in Experimental Condensed Matter Physics at Florida State University and served as a Research Assistant at the National High Magnetic Field Lab. Additional teaching experience includes roles as a Teaching Assistant and a Visiting Lecturer at Western Mindanao State University, where Lloyd also graduated Magna Cum Laude, delivering the Valedictory speech to a class of over 2000 graduates.
