George Finney

George Finney is an accomplished professional in the field of information security, currently serving as the Chief Information Security Officer for The University of Texas System. Finney is the CEO and Founder of Well Aware Security and a Senior Fellow for the Zero Trust Initiative at CyberTheory. Additionally, Finney has held various roles in academia, including Adjunct Professor for Information Assurance and CyberSecurity at Southern Methodist University, where Finney also served as Chief Security Officer and Information Security Officer and Director of Digital Interests. Finney has contributed to the Palo Alto Networks FUEL User Group as Executive Vice President. Educational credentials include a Juris Doctorate in Law from Southern Methodist University and a Master's degree in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Dallas.
