Franklyn Cantor

Chief of Staff at The University of the Arts

As Chief of Staff, Franklyn works across the university community (and with external partners) to translate, connect and amplify the strategic vision of the president into actionable steps. He is a member of the senior leadership team, serves as a primary liaison to the Board of Trustees, supervises the University Centers, and manages the staff and budgets in the President's Office. Across all of his work, Franklyn seeks to advance the university's mission, advancing human creativity, and the institutional commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility.

Franklyn joined UArts in March 2022, and is actively interested in meeting with community members to learn about their experiences, interests, and aspirations. To set up a time to talk with Franklyn in his office, in Solmssen Court, or while taking a walk along Broad Street, email him directly or contact Melanie Romay, Senior Administrative Assistant in the President's Office.

Before joining UArts, Franklyn worked at Haverford College as the Assistant Chief of Staff and Assistant Secretary of the Board, and previously held other roles in Haverford's President's Office and Dean's Office. He received his B.A. in History of Art (a department housed at Bryn Mawr College) from Haverford in 2012.

Franklyn has also been a board member of the College and University Recycling Coalition (CURC) since 2019, for which he is currently the Board Secretary.
