Farhan Shazia

Farhan Shazia, PhD, FHEA, is a lecturer in Accounting and Finance at The University of Western Australia since January 2024. Prior to this role, Shazia served as a lecturer in Finance and Accounting at the University of Exeter from January to December 2023. Shazia's academic career includes positions as an Assistant Lecturer and Teaching Associate at Monash Business School from January 2019 to February 2023, and as a Doctoral Student at Monash University from February 2018 to February 2022. Previous experience includes roles as an Assistant Professor and Lecturer in the Department of Finance at Jagannath University, Dhaka, from May 2013 to February 2018, and a Lecturer at Stamford University Bangladesh from April 2012 to May 2013. Early career experience includes positions as a Management Trainee at Dhaka Bank Limited and an STT at The World Bank. Shazia holds a PhD in Banking, Corporate, Finance, and Securities Law from Monash University, an MSc in Economic Development from the University of Glasgow, an MBA in Finance from the University of Dhaka, and a BBA in Finance from the same institution.
