Wayne Aston

Wayne Aston, PhD, serves as the Commercialisation Manager at The University of Western Australia since February 2025, following a role as Project Manager for Clinical Research Partnerships at The Kids Research Institute Australia. With a background as Program Manager at emyria and Research Data Manager at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, Wayne has extensive experience in research and management. Previous experience includes a PhD candidacy focused on Tumour Immunology and roles such as Graduate Research Assistant and Laboratory Manager. Wayne holds an MBA from The University of Western Australia, a PhD in Oncology and Cancer Biology, and a BSc with Honours in Molecular Biology from Murdoch University.
