The Upper Room
Rachel Hagewood is a seasoned editorial professional with a diverse background in editing, design, and communications. Currently serving as a Senior Developmental Editor at The Upper Room since January 2023, Rachel has extensive freelance experience since 2006, creating and designing materials for various clients. Previous roles include Editor at the United Methodist Publishing House, where Rachel worked twice, and Communications Coordinator at Forest Hills United Methodist Church, managing all communications for the congregation. Early career experiences included teaching English at Bridgeforth Middle School and serving as an instructor at Martin Methodist College. Rachel holds a BA in English and a BS in Church Vocations - Christian Education from Martin Methodist College.
