Hertta Sydänlammi

Hertta Sydänlammi has a diverse work experience across various organizations. Hertta started their career in 2014 as a Camp Guide at the University of Helsinki, where they worked at the Millennium Youth Camp for gifted international youth interested in natural sciences, mathematics, and technology. In the same year, they also worked as a Fulbright Grantee in the Summer Institute for European Student Leaders on Environmental Stewardship organized by the Fulbright Center Finland.

In 2014, Hertta Sydänlammi joined the University of Helsinki as a Research Assistant in the Global Change and Conservation research team. Their responsibilities included assisting with a meta-analysis of publications on indigenous people's perceptions of environmental change.

From 2011 to 2015, Hertta Sydänlammi worked as a Personal Assistant for a youngster with traumatic brain injury at Helsingin kaupunki – Helsingfors stad – City of Helsinki. Their role involved supporting the individual in their daily routines and rehabilitation training, and taught their important skills such as active listening, empathy, and patience.

Starting from 2016, Hertta Sydänlammi joined JLL, where they held multiple roles. Hertta began as a Junior Analyst in the Retail team, solving clients' business problems through data-heavy analysis. Later, they became an Associate in the Research and Development department, and eventually a Senior Associate in the same field.

Most recently, in 2020, Hertta Sydänlammi joined The Upright Project, where they work in the Analysis & Data role.

Hertta Sydänlammi completed their education at the University of Helsinki, where they earned a Master's degree in Regional Science (City/Urban) from 2013 to 2019. In 2014, they were a Fulbright grantee and participated in the Summer Institute for European Student Leaders on Environmental Stewardship at Kansas State University. Prior to that, from 2008 to 2011, they attended Kallion lukio and obtained a Ylioppilas degree. Additionally, they obtained several certifications, including "Johdatus yrityshallinnon perusteisiin" from HYY Group in April 2015, and a Fulbright Center Grant Certificate, as well as a certification from the U.S. Department of State for participation in the Summer Institute in August 2014.
