Robert Nuorteva

Robert Nuorteva has a diverse work experience that spans various industries and roles. Robert is currently working as a Full Stack Developer at The Upright Project, where they are responsible for creating an analytics tool to measure the net impact of companies. Prior to this, Robert co-founded Everfells, a platform that allows users to book outdoor experiences in national parks and private land. Robert played a key role in customer development, UX/UI design, marketing, and sales, and successfully raised a seed round of funding for the company.

Robert also worked as a Treasury Officer at Pöyry, where they assisted in establishing cash pooling systems for the organization's subsidiaries across the globe. Robert was responsible for account management and cash balance reporting. Before that, they served as a Derivatives Officer at OP Financial Group, where they gained practical understanding of derivatives instruments and strategies.

In addition, Robert has experience in the hospitality industry, having worked as a Bellman & Concierge at Hotel Kämp. Robert provided customer-centric service and learned to exceed customer expectations while working under pressure. Furthermore, Robert volunteered as a maths and English teacher at Kubease Primary School, an experience that taught him valuable skills in teaching, public speaking, and resourcefulness.

Robert Nuorteva has a diverse education history. Robert began their academic journey at the University of Helsinki in 2021, pursuing a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Computer Science, which they are currently working towards.

Prior to their enrollment at the University of Helsinki, Robert completed their Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Sustainable Business and Design at Aalto University from 2015 to 2018. Before that, from 2011 to 2014, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Finance, also from Aalto University.

During their studies, Robert participated in a semester abroad program at the University of San Diego in 2014. There, they pursued a B.Sc. in Economics and Business Administration.

In addition to their formal education, Robert has obtained certifications in JavaScript Algorithms and Data Structures, as well as Responsive Web Design. These certifications were obtained in August 2021 and July 2021, respectively, from freeCodeCamp.
