Gideon Yu serves as an independent director on the National Board of the PGA of America and has been a co-owner and former president of the San Francisco 49ers since 2011. With extensive experience in the tech industry, Gideon was the lead Series A investor and first outside board member at Square and held roles as Chief Financial Officer at both YouTube, where negotiations for its $1.65 billion sale to Google occurred, and Facebook, where a significant investment from Microsoft was secured. Gideon also served on the Board of Directors at Razer Inc. and was a senior vice president at Yahoo, executing numerous acquisitions. Academic credentials include an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management from Stanford University.
