Shannon Cate

Shannon Cate has a strong background in human resources, beginning in 1994 when they worked as an Area Coordinator for Pfeiffer University. In this role, they supervised four student residence hall directors and directed staff in their own building. Shannon then moved on to L & L Management, Inc where they worked as a Human Resource Manager from 1995 to 2006. Following that, Shannon worked at The Home Depot as a Human Resource Manager for one year. Their most recent position was at The Varsity where they served as the Human Resources Director, starting in 2007. In this role, they created and implemented a framework for the HR department, ensuring ACA compliance, managing worker's compensation, and representing the company in legal proceedings.

Shannon Cate obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in French with a minor in Psychology from the University of West Georgia. This educational accomplishment took place between 1990 and 1994. Subsequently, Shannon pursued further education at Georgia State University from 1997 to 1998, where they earned a Master of Science degree in Human Resource Development.
