The Vegetarian Society
Dale Hoyland is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in leadership roles focused on sustainability and community engagement. Currently serving as the Deputy Chair of the Board of Trustees for the Vegetarian Society since October 2015, Dale has effectively guided the organization through significant changes, including recruiting new Trustees and managing the CEO. In addition to this role, Dale is the Oxfordshire Retrofit Team Leader, Treasurer for the Parent Teacher Association at South Moreton School, and Contracts Manager for Oxfordshire Greentech, promoting sustainable practices among businesses. Previous positions include Team Leader at Cherwell District Council and Sustainable Energy Services Manager at the National Energy Foundation, where Dale led projects aimed at carbon reduction and energy efficiency. Academically, Dale holds both an MSc in Marine Environmental Management and a BSc (Hons) in Environment, Economics, and Ecology from the University of York.

The Vegetarian Society
The Vegetarian Society is a campaigning charity bringing the benefits of plant-based eating to all! It campaigns to make the changes happen that need to happen. Changes to help people, to help the planet, and to help animals. Our Vegetarian Society Cookery School collaborates extensively with schools, hospitals and councils across the country, providing training on plant-based catering to public sector catering staff. The Vegetarian Society Approved trademarks are symbols you will see on thousands of products in shops all over the UK. There are two Vegetarian Society Approved trademarks – one for vegetarian products and one for vegan products.
