Matthew Harmston

Matthew Harmston started their work experience in 2013 at How2Evolve Limited as a Software Engineer, specializing in Java development and maintenance of web and software applications. Matthew worked as part of a small agile team on various applications, including motor insurance, electronic point of sale systems, mobile logging systems, and RFID technology. In 2014, they joined Shop Direct as an Associate Systems Engineer, focusing on Java and PL-SQL development for the Oracle ATG Commerce platform. Matthew then progressed to become a Systems Engineer, where they utilized their experience in eCommerce and Java working practices to deliver functionality. In 2019, they were promoted to Senior Software Engineer at Shop Direct.

Matthew Harmston's most recent work experience is at The Very Group, which they joined in 2020. Matthew initially served as a Senior Software Engineer and Technical Lead, responsible for technical leadership and delivering software solutions. Currently, they hold the position of Principal Software Engineer and Technical Lead at The Very Group.

Matthew Harmston attended Edge Hill University from 2010 to 2013, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Computing.
