Mason King

Executive Director at The Village Church

Mason King has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Mason started their career at Fat Tire Bike Tours London/Paris as a Tour Guide from February 2008 to August 2009. Mason then worked at Buckner International as an External Affairs Social Media Coordinator from 2009 to 2010. Mason joined The Village Church in September 2010 as a Connections Minister and later held positions as Home Groups Minister, Home Groups Pastor, and Spiritual Formation Pastor. From June 2018 to November 2019, they served as the Director of the Training Program. Most recently, Mason held the role of Director of TVCI and is currently serving as the Executive Director at The Village Church since May 2020.

Mason King's education history shows a consistent pursuit of knowledge in the field of theology and church history. Mason began their educational journey in 2002 at Texas A&M University, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Speech Communication in 2006. After gaining foundational knowledge in communication, they decided to focus on theology and spiritual formation by attending Dallas Theological Seminary from 2009 to 2013. Here, they obtained a Master's degree in Theology, specializing in Historical Theology and Spiritual Formation. Seeking further academic and professional growth, they pursued a Doctor of Ministry degree at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary from 2017 to 2019, specializing in Executive Leadership. Currently, Mason is enrolled in Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary's Doctor of Philosophy program, where they are expected to complete their PhD in Church History by 2024. This demonstrates their dedication and commitment to expanding their knowledge and expertise in the theological and historical aspects of the church.
