Shannon Schumacher is an accomplished leader with extensive experience in the social service sector, currently serving as the President and Chief Executive Officer of The Villages since April 2021. Prior to this role, Shannon held various senior leadership positions at Volunteers of America Ohio & Indiana, including Executive Vice President of Strategy, Innovation, and Clinical Services, where Shannon led a $70 million organization serving over 21,000 individuals. Additionally, Shannon's background includes roles as Chief Operating Officer and Division Director of Clinical Services, focusing on operational efficiency and specialized services. Shannon's experience is complemented by a strong educational foundation, including participation in the Executive Leadership Program at the University of Notre Dame's Mendoza College of Business, a Master of Social Work from Indiana University Indianapolis, and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Ball State University.
