Tim Metzgar

Tim Metzgar has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Tim is currently serving as the Vice President of Supply Chain at The Vitamin Shoppe since May 2023. Prior to this role, they held the position of Senior General Manager - Distribution at The Vitamin Shoppe from October 2019 to May 2023. Before joining The Vitamin Shoppe, Tim was the General Manager - Distribution at the same company from February 2017 to October 2019.

Additionally, Tim has worked as a Soccer Referee for the U.S. Soccer Federation from January 2010 to January 2019. Tim has also gained extensive experience in operations and logistics roles at J.Crew, where they held various positions such as Director of Store Distribution from February 2010 to February 2017, Senior Operations Manager from April 2005 to February 2010, and Outbound Operations Manager from February 2003 to April 2005.

Earlier in their career, Tim worked as a Logistics Manager at QIAGEN from February 2001 to February 2003. Prior to that, they served in distribution management roles at Thermo Fisher Scientific (Life Technologies), including Distribution Manager from April 1998 to February 2001 and Distribution Supervisor from April 1996 to April 1998. Tim started their professional journey as a Transportation Officer in the US Army from May 1989 to April 1996.

Tim Metzgar earned their Bachelor's degree in Business Administration / Marketing from Appalachian State University from 1984 to 1988. In 1993, they attended the US Army Transportation School to study Logistics, although they did not receive a degree from there.
