Dillon Shije currently serves as the Deputy Director of the Office of Equity and Inclusion for the City of Albuquerque, leading strategic initiatives focused on enhancing diversity, equity, and inclusion within municipal operations. Additionally, Dillon holds several key positions, including Health Commissioner for American Indian/Alaska Native Affairs, Albuquerque Area Delegate for the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and Tribal Energy Innovators Fellow at the Tribal Solar Accelerator Fund. Dillon's involvement extends to being the Southwest Representative for the Tribal-Interior Budget Council, a Community Leadership Network Fellow with the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, and a member of the Native American State Central Committee. As a founding board member of the Pueblo Development Commission NGO and a Tribal Councilman for the Pueblo of Zia, Dillon contributes significantly to Indigenous communities. Dillon's educational background includes a Bachelor's degree from the University of Colorado Boulder, a certificate from Harvard Business School, and ongoing post-baccalaureate studies in Pre-Medicine at the University of Arizona and The University of New Mexico.
