Gerard Baker is the current Editor at Large at The Wall Street Journal. Prior to their current position, Baker served as the U.S. Editor for The Times from July 2004 to January 2009. Before their time at The Times, Baker was an Associate Editor for the Financial Times from January 1994 to July 2004. In this role, they served as the FT’s Chief U.S. Commentator. Prior to their time with the Financial Times, Baker worked for the BBC from January 1988 to December 1994 as a Producer. Gerard began their career with the BBC as a producer, then became the U.S. producer, and eventually served as the Economics Correspondent for both TV and radio.
Gerard Baker graduated with a Master of Arts in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Corpus Christi College at Oxford University.
