Lyle Brennan

Lyle Brennan is an experienced journalist currently serving as the Weekend Editor at The Wall Street Journal since April 2019, where responsibilities include organizing the U.S. weekend content. Prior to this role, Lyle held various positions at BuzzFeed from August 2015 to March 2019, including Platform & Publishing Editor and Mobile Producer, and significantly contributed to the development of BuzzFeed's style guide. Lyle's earlier experience includes serving as a UK Sub-Editor at Daily Mail and General Trust plc, where activities involved sub-editing features, and leading the launch team for Mail Plus, an interactive tablet edition. Lyle also worked as Comedy Editor and Contributor for Fest magazine, producing award-winning content during Edinburgh's festival season, and began a career in journalism as a Trainee Sub-Editor with Cumbrian Newspapers. Education includes a Postgraduate Diploma in Newspaper Journalism from Cardiff University and an MA Hons in English Literature from The University of Edinburgh.
