Matthew Luxmoore

Matthew Luxmoore is a seasoned foreign correspondent currently working for The Wall Street Journal since January 2022. Prior to this role, Luxmoore served as the Moscow Correspondent for Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty from June 2018 to April 2022, where responsibilities included covering breaking news and writing enterprise features from Russia and surrounding regions. Luxmoore also held a reporting intern position at The New York Times, contributing to significant news stories and investigations in Moscow as part of the Alfa Fellowship Program. Additional experience includes reporting for Al Jazeera America and The Local Europe, as well as a reporting internship at The Moscow Times. Matthew Luxmoore holds a Master of Arts in Russia, Eastern Europe, and Central Asia Studies from Harvard University and a Bachelor's degree in International Relations from Queen Mary University of London, complemented by an Erasmus exchange at Heidelberg University.
