The Warren Youth Project
The Warren is an independent open-access youth-led charity based in Hull city-centre and our staff team of 33 offers free support, guidance, education, mental-health support, employability & skills/training, and creative expression activities and services to young people aged predominantly 16-25 (but also work with young people from 11 upwards) who are experiencing issues relating to a whole range of social ills such as unemployment, food poverty, fuel poverty, homelessness, sexual & criminal exploitation, physical abuse, substance-abuse, bullying, neglect, domestic violence, family-relationship breakdown, additional learning needs, racism and homophobia. We have also established numerous peer-support groups for young people to come together and share their experiences of the issues above. In the past year we worked with 1,469 young people who collectively attended The Warren over 18,000 tiimes. Here’s a quick snap-shot film of what we do: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6pBr-dfMTHU
