Ryan Appel

Ryan Appel currently serves as Senior Counsel for the Washington Commanders, a position held since June 2021, following previous experience as Counsel within the same organization. Prior to joining the Commanders, Ryan worked as an Associate at Davis Wright Tremaine LLP from April 2015 to June 2021, where responsibilities included negotiating infrastructure agreements for cable and telecommunications providers and representing clients before regulatory agencies. Earlier legal internships include roles at Octagon, where Ryan drafted agreements for sports and entertainment clients, and the Miami Dolphins, focusing on sponsorship and services agreements. Additionally, Ryan has a background in commercial real estate consulting from tenure at Deloitte as a Senior Associate. Ryan holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Southern California.
